They don’t understand why I’d give up such “security”. Especially as the economy continues to show signs of falling apart. They have the same concerns about money, about debt, about retirement, about their health, their future. But they now need more money to keep up the losing battle with the economy. Then in the same breath, they ask me how I make that money working from home and if it’s possible that they earn a living from home too?

Why Tim why?

The cost of commuting…time to and from work away from family multiplied with the rising price of gasoline…making ends meet harder and harder. There is only so much money you can get out of a job…that 3-5% a year raise…that doesn’t even keep up with INFLATION! It’s a lifestyle. It’s a choice. Too many people are trapped by the housing and financial meltdowns. Trapped in their dead-end jobs.

Have you ever had that conversation with someone you are close to? How did it go? Have you had that conversation recently as the economy worsens? What’s the response been to the news on TV about financial market bailout of 700 billion dollars? The falling stock market?

In the months ahead as we’re moving into 2009, I fully expect more and more people will be actively pursuing how to make more money online, they will be asking me about how we are earning a living from home and how we’re transforming our bodies and health!

So why did I choose a career over a job? First and foremost…I had PASSION!

I have a passion for LIFE! A passion to impact people’s lives in a way that their lives are permanently transformed! To live as healthy as I can for as long as I can while leading others who want to do the same on their own terms. A passionate commitment to fitness.

I didn’t have passion for commercial property management, but I DID have passion for working with entrepreneurial minded individuals!

I really enjoyed reading what my fitness mentor/coach, Tony Horton, of P90X fame, wrote on his blog on my birthday about Jobs vs. Careers about what it is that we do in this career choice.

People with careers are happy and fired up because they manifest their
own destinies. They can’t wait to wake up and get busy because they
know the sky is the limit. If you commit to building your own business
the rewards are endless. Like I said earlier, my job is to be the
fitness guy, not to be the Team BeachBody business promoter. But when I
see so many people go from lame, low income jobs to life altering
careers with this amazing opportunity, I can’t be silent. In Lincoln,
Dallas, Vegas, Atlanta, Boise & Beyond people are fusing Fitness
with Financial Freedom. I coined that one. Pretty good, right? The
truth is, it’s more than a phrase, it’s the truth. I’ve seen it over
and over again. Unhappy overweight, out-of-shape people with lousy
jobs, losing weight, getting into shape, building their businesses and
creating the freedom to live the lives they’ve always wanted. I
wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, and
I’ve seen it happen to thousands of people time and time again.

Most of us would be lucky just to get a few opportunities in life to make it
better. I’m asking you not to ignore this one. If you’re unhappy with
your job and find yourself struggling with your health and fitness then
it might be time to open your eyes to the Team BeachBody Revolution. If
you hate exercise, love fast food and have a hard time talking to
people then this business career opportunity isn’t for you. But if you
like the idea of being fit & healthy combined with having a life
that provides financial freedom (in these very scary economic times)

whether we want to continue to struggle in this world or take control
of our own world. So what will it be for you?

While recovering from the car accident, I knew there was only one choice for our financial future. Self-employment once again. We didn’t want to get permanently locked into the consumerism lifestyle that resulted in working for someone else and plopping down on the couch to watch television each night. We wanted a way to impact people’s lives in a tangible way. Their physical bodies…then their financial situation through home business. Build a residual income stream where we could travel at will, without concern for what means we’d travel (plane, boat or RV) or the financial cost of it for as long as we wanted whether that be 9 months in Santorini or a year in Belize.

That’s the reason I love this lifestyle…is because it IS a lifestyle. Life is too short to live by someone else’s terms…to not live our dreams. A residual income lifestyle. A fitness lifestyle achieving optimal health. Improving people’s lives through exercise and nutrition then financial freedom.

I don’t have to talk people into the latest super juice or uber-vitamin from synthetic sources to take. It’s just a 21st century back-to-basics lifestyle. Cutting edge exercise and eating right combined with a supportive online community of like-minded individuals who decided to make a change…committed to making a change…working to succeed at making that change! With Team Beachbody!

They want to change how they feel, improve their physical bodies, develop habits that give them better health through how they live, act and eat daily. Then using the ultimate tool…WORD OF MOUTH marketing to earn a living from home. Whether it’s face-to-face, via Twitter, Facebook or the Million Dollar Body Club about what they’ve experienced through Team Beachbody. For example, my goal right now is to rebuild my body after nearly a year of inactivity due to a violent car wreck in January that left me unable to workout combined with the car accident that happened 3 years earlier. That resulted in me gaining a couple dozen pounds of fat around my body! Then by this time next year, I will have completed a summer of competing as a sprinter in the Masters division in the 100, 200 and 400 meters. That is my goal.

I’ve recently started on my first 90 days of P90X to rebuild my body after nearly 4 years of recovering from two different car accidents.

And I know how challenging it is going to be to get back into shape. Nothing in life is easy. I can’t wait to reveal my before pictures (oh man, are they HIDEOUS!) and compare it to my 30 day look, my 60 day pictures and my 90 day pictures at the end of my 1st round of P90X.

Now that I’ve retired from the 9-5 job lifestyle to focus on developing The Residual Income Lifestyle and to be a Team Beachbody Coach, I understand completely why so many people struggle to find the time to get to the gym or hire a personal trainer. I’m a simple man. I’m a very busy man. So many people buy into the hype of being an internet “rock star” or claim to be some kind of “expert” and are all about talking about they use “attraction marketing” to claim they gained 247,398 new subscribers in the last 48 hours blah, blah, blah…but they forget the most important part of networking…it’s the relationship. The depth of your relationships are the foundation of network marketing income…especially online.

Harvey Mackay, author of “How to Swim with the Sharks without Getting Eaten Alive” has all his salespeople fill out a questionaire about their clients. It’s 66 things he feels is essential to know, in order to service the needs of his clients. They don’t ask their clients all sixty-six questions at once. It’s part of the relationship building process over time. The opportunity to ask those questions arise as each time they get to speak with their client. They establish a relationship, they get to know their client. They speak with their clients. More than once! Did you catch that?

What are you doing to establish a relationship with the people you meet in person or online through social media channels? Do you talk to them via Skype? Do you spend time on the phone with them? Or do you hide behind your computer and just send emails? Are you getting to know people? Do you know their spouses name? What they do for a living? What their dreams are? What kind of vacations do they like to take? Or are you just making the mistake of waiting for them to contact you? And ask you all the questions.

When you are using tools like Twitter and Skype, places like MySpace, Facebook, Linked in or wherever…

YOU MUST remember it about connecting with people…not collecting people.

Go for quality of relationships…not quantity of people who don’t know you.

Spend time getting to know people, not spending hours trying to find hundreds of people to add.

You may not have a detailed list like Mackay suggests, but if you don’t have a list of things you want to learn about your prospect, your customer, your business…you may not have a business!

Something to think about…and remember!

This is a relationship business…not a collecting business!

”Ab-so-FREAKIN-lutely! Who says you can’t earn an incredible income from home? We’re doing it. And I’m just a regular guy, a husband, recovering from a car accident, who was dissatisfied with working for someone else and not being able to spend as much quality time as I wanted with my family when I was working a corporate salary job. I’m an example of the work at home generation. And you could easily be an example of one too.”

Essentially, the residual income lifestyle is all about LIFE FREEDOM! Not “lifestyle” like some individuals who flaunt their wealth and status…focusing on the accumulation of things. Instead, the residual income lifestyle is about achieving a level of income that affords you the FREEDOM to pursue a life free from the enslavement of working for someone else to do what you really want to do with your life. And the personal health to live a long life with your family and friends!

Now what is that residual income level for you? Is it $1,000 a month that will help you get there? Will making $3,000 a month in income set you free? What is that dollar amount for YOU? A real world number…one that if you made that much from your home business, you’d be able to quit that job?

First freedom from your job…then freedom to travel the world and be able to make money anywhere…with your laptop and cell phone! Okay, that at least is my plan.

I really enjoyed what John Milton Fogg, author of the “Greatest Networker” book wrote recently,

That really is my heart’s desire for hundreds of thousands of people…across the country! It’s so true…the Internet has really made it possible to find customers, to meet people who are interested in starting a network marketing business…AND gives you the potential opportunity to really build a really nice residual income stream. And especially with a hybrid business model of TV infomercials that continue to brand the “BeachBody” name as the premier home fitness option. Combine with an incredibly unique niche in the marketplace that literally every person in the USA could benefit from, then you realize YOU CAN become a “thousandaire” through this business. And the powerful option that we offer you.

Why is building YOUR own home residual income stream online so you can start living the residual income lifestyle is so important today and definitely needed in the coming years? There are literally dozens that come to mind.

The enormously high prices of gas, that in the long term, will only continue to rise! How much do you pay for gas to commute to and from your job?

• Next year the majority of homes in the U.S. won’t be worth what people paid for them.
• People who have “jobs” will lose those jobs because of mass layoffs (this has already begun but will unemployment will continue to skyrocket)
• People who had built a nest egg 10 years ago in the stock market, have earned nothing OR lost money!
• The average American with a retirement plan popped $300 per month into it last year. It requires about 16 times that to have enough to live on (to say, age 85).
• Why? Because the average retired American currently gets a check for $1.020 per month for Social Security. This number is dropping against inflation and will do so until it hits the big goose egg.
• The cost of education and healthcare have doubled over inflation for two decades.
