The Work at Home Generation? What’s that? Hopefully many of you know what that is, but for those that don’t…here’s my definition:

If you use technology (or desperately want to) to free yourself from a 9 to 7 forcible servitude for an “income”, to do work that you love INSTEAD, to get more time with your family, the ability to travel more and/or even take the ability to earn money ANYWHERE YOU WANT or just want to make money in your pajamas, then you’re in the right place. That is the residual income lifestyle and the future, WHICH IS RIGHT NOW, that is called the “work at home generation.”

There are many ways to earn money online. To develop multiple streams of income of variable income potentials with affiliate programs, having an online bookstore, your own eBook, advertising income on your blog or website, writing Squidoo lens, article writing, and the list can really be endless. Believe me, I like them as well and use them as much as I have time in the day.

But I like to develop residual income. Money that comes in month after month…without my effort whatsoever! Preferably that grows at a rate of at THE VERY MINIMUM 10% A MONTH!

“Recession”

It’s the dark looming cloud — the thing no one wants to really talk about, for fear of being forced to admit it’s real.

… But the fact is, the sagging U.S. economy and the global economy ARE moving full speed into recession with inflation growing right now too. The ripple effects are being felt by everyone from Bill Gates to the families living on minimum wage or on government assistance, to people in 3rd world countries who are hardest hit. How to survive the recession is on the minds of everyone it seems.

GenX people in their late 30’s are being forced into foreclosure on their houses and to move back home with their soon to be retiring Baby Boomer parents! People are losing their homes by the millions. And from the sounds like it, this is only just the beginning.

In America, we’ve been so inundated with advertising and news reports that we’re almost conditioned/brainwashed to believe what “we’re supposed to believe”…and not pay attention to what is reality. Just consume, consume and get into deeper debt.

Naw, the economy isn’t as bad as the media portrays it to be. The foreclosure rate skyrocketing in some places upwards of 75%…continue to believe the government will take care of you if disaster strikes or you reach retirement age?

But guess what?

We don’t have to buy into that “vision“ they’re repetitively drilling into our subconscious. And while things might truly be bad with layoffs, a weak dollar, the stock market, prices of oil, yada, yada, yada…and we can cry “woe is me”…

Or better yet…how about Shut Up, Stop Whining & Get A Life That actually comes from a title of a book I’m reading written by Larry Winget, who is considered the “Pitbull of Personal Development”. LOL

Seriously though…it is time for ACTION!

Residual income is even more important in 2008 and beyond considering so many factors that surround us. With an economic recession, the ever increasing price of oil and its resulting climb of the amount of cash it takes to fill your gas tank to get to work.

Speaking of work…that’s a set income for most who are salaried. You might even be socking money away into your 401k and staying up at night sweating about the stock market fluctuations.
